Teabagging of the Year

Bodog

The Bodog saga is finally at an end as I got my money back, then promptly deposited it on Full Tilt as my account there is a quite a bit smaller than my Stars account. I will never darken Bodog's threshold again as I think I would rather even deposit my money on Absolute/Ultimate Bet and take my chances there. It took a little over a month to get my money back and there is no way I'll ever take a chance with Bodog again.

Eye Care Associates, Raleigh NC at Brier Creek

I would avoid Eye Care Associates of Raleigh, NC (Brier Creek location) like the fucking plague and any of the other ones as well if they are as bad as this one. I went for an eye examination in November 2007 as I hadn't been for a while and wanted to see if my contact prescription needed to be changed, and also wanted my girlfriend to get her eyes checked. They said that my prescription had changed so they gave me a pair to wear and ordered a box of contacts for each eye, and charged me $542 for both of us. They never called me when the contacts came in so I had to call there about the contacts, then after wearing the trial pair for a while, the reading (left) contact just never worked right and I was straining my eyes, so I started back wearing my glasses. As I was busy over the holidays and with other things, I didn't reschedule an appointment until the first week of February, and I had to pay for a second contact examination to get a prescription that was right after they screwed up the first one....partly my fault as I waited so long. After getting a second eye exam, the doctor said that I could trade in the boxes of the wrong contracts for the new ones and they gave me a trial pair to wear that was close to my prescription as they didn't have my exact one in trial contacts and they said they would call me when the correct prescription trial pair came in. Did they? Of course not, and I had to call once again. I tried these for a couple of days and liked them, so I called back and said that these were good and that they could order a box each for me. They said that they would call me when they came in (where have I heard this before?)...did they? Of course fucking not, so I had to call again two weeks later, only to find out that the contacts had not been ordered. I went in today to pick up my contacts, only to find out that they still had not been ordered! What the fuck is going on at this place? It's like the Monty Python cheese shop skit where the shopper finds out that they don't actually have any cheese at all and shoots the store clerk...I only wish that I could have done that! I preceeded to cancel the order, get credit for the two boxes of wrong contacts and get my prescription so that I could order some contacts from 1-800-contacts. Maybe I will FINALLY get some contacts....I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding these fucking idiots.

certification test

I have been studying a bit for the last two months so that I can add some certifications (ICC) onto my resume to help with the job search in Las Vegas. It is really dry text and not very much fun to deal with, but I have just sucked it up and got down to business with it. My job is so boring and since I work mostly alone, I have had time at work to study as well and if anyone has seen me doing it, I have told them it is just job related research. The books I have been studying are related to what I'm currently doing, so it isn't a stretch by any means. I signed up to take the test this past Tuesday and with the cost of that plus the cost of the books that I had to buy, I now have over $850 involved in this, so failure is not an option. I went in and took the test and the Q&A section is somewhat tough but doable...then I hit the plan reading section. The plans are absolutely HORRIBLE and I sincerely hope that no building was built from these or else it is a death trap. The test is computer based but with actual paper plans, so I can see the time is ticking on the screen. When I first came in, I figured that I would be done an hour earlier than the 3.5 allotted hours but ended up taking 3 hours and 17 minutes. But I PASSED even though I have several friends that took the test and all failed. I put it on my resume and already have had 3 calls about jobs in Las Vegas. So now that the ICC Reinforced Concrete test is out of the way, it is on to the Structural Steel and Bolting, Fireproofing, and the AWS CWI.

I tried to login to my Bodog poker account and received this message- Your current account status does not allow you access to the poker room. Please contact customer service. And my reply... This has been going on long enough now and I have had enough. I want my money that I transferred and I want it now, no more fucking games. I have wasted too much time on this third rate poker site, and spent 15% of the original amount that I transferred on faxing shit and phone calls.
